Onshore Substation Commissioning Manager
Are you an experienced professional in onshore substation commissioning, ready to lead and deliver excellence? Join our team and take charge of ensuring timely and high-quality commissioning for critical energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the commissioning of the onshore substation, ensuring readiness for operation.
* Establish and manage the commissioning organization, covering LV, MV, HV, protection, and SCADA equipment.
* Plan and coordinate commissioning activities with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
* Monitor and report on progress, participating in commissioning and installation meetings.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards during construction and commissioning phases.
* Provide input to Critical to Quality (CTQ) designs and oversee updates to Quality Activity Schedules (QAS).
* Align commissioning activities with HSE regulations, technical requirements, and local legislation.
* Manage key milestones, witness FAT, SAT, and SIT tests, and coordinate with grid authorities and lead commissioning managers.
* Drive lessons learned evaluations and actively improve processes.
Key Tasks:
* Develop and maintain the commissioning schedule, ensuring alignment with construction timelines.
* Supervise and ensure quality during electrical system installations.
* Oversee supplier and contractor activities to maintain quality and compliance.
* Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), and validate product quality controls (QC).
* Ensure the accuracy of as-built documentation and product quality during execution.
Requirements:
* Proven experience with onshore substations and National Grid connections.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead and motivate teams.
* Expertise in commissioning MV/HV equipment, SCADA systems, low voltage installations, and utility components.
* A minimum of five years of relevant project experience.
* Excellent project management, coordination, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
