Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Location: Wirral/ Liverpool, office based
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Job Responsibilities:
1. Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive health and safety policies that align with industry regulations and best practices.
2. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor safety compliance and identify potential hazards.
3. Provide guidance and support to site teams on health and safety issues.
4. Develop and deliver health and safety training sessions to staff and subcontractors, ensuring everyone is up to date with safety protocols and regulations.
5. Investigate accidents and incidents on-site, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, preparing reports for senior management and clients as required. Maintain accurate records of site safety performance.
Requirements
1. A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is essential. A NEBOSH Diploma is highly desirable.
2. A strong background in health and safety within the construction or commercial roofing sectors, with a good understanding of the specific challenges faced on site.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with teams, subcontractors, and clients, providing clear guidance on health and safety matters.
4. A keen eye for detail when conducting inspections, audits, and investigating incidents to ensure all safety issues are addressed.
5. Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions before issues escalate, with a hands-on approach to managing health and safety on-site.
