Location: London, Manchester or Oxford (Hybrid)
Compensation: Discretionary Company Bonus Scheme
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (37.5h pw)

About Oodle:
Our mission is to be the UK’s simplest way to find and finance a great value used car. We want to put car buyers back in control and make the car buying experience as simple, straightforward, and joyful as possible.
We are a team of 450 people located in Manchester, Oxford and London. Over the past 6 years, we’ve supported thousands of customers on their car buying journey.
The Team:
The Salesforce team is a crucial part of Oodle’s Engineering division. We drive the Salesforce platform and data that integrates with all of our other front-end systems.
The team consists of 11 Engineers: 8 Salesforce Engineers, 1 Salesforce Business Administrator, and 3 QA Engineers. We strive to deliver high quality on all of our Salesforce and integrated software products, in a fun and social environment.
This role is based in either our London, Oxford or Manchester offices and can be worked in a hybrid manner combining in-person collaboration and remote working.
The Role:
A Salesforce Engineer works with product teams to develop software products in line with project management goals and contributes to the design and development of Salesforce-related work.
Your day-to-day work will include:
* Building and supporting new and existing Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Web Component.
* Contributing to the adoption of strong software architecture and development best practices.
* Translating business requirements into effective technical designs and implementations.
* Assisting in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects during project delivery.
About You:
Experience is important, but potential is even more crucial. We welcome applications even if you lack some of the skills listed below.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience developing on the Salesforce Platform using both declarative and coded solutions.
* Understanding of Lightning UX and configuring Salesforce for agent efficiency.
* Experience with Salesforce Communities.
* Strong knowledge of data management and large data volume handling strategies.
* Experience in Salesforce security settings best practices.
* Good team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
* Experience using a development IDE such as VSCode or IntelliJ.
* Experience using Git or an equivalent source control system.
* Experience in using integration technologies such as REST and SOAP.
* Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have:
* Exposure to development on Salesforce’s Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud.
* Exposure to Marketing Cloud implementations.
* Experience with Salesforce DX and Salesforce CLI.
* Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
* Familiarity with JIRA & Confluence.
Hiring Process:
* Preliminary Interview (30 mins)
* Video Interview (30 mins) with the Head of Product
* Final Technical Interview (1 hour) with the hiring manager and a team member.
