Job Title: Registered Manager Leaving Care Residential Service Location: Aylesbury, UK Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum Regulatory Body: CQC Registered About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a leaving care residential home for up to 7 young people in Aylesbury. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in residential care and leadership, dedicated to improving the lives of young people transitioning to independent living. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, as well as other relevant legislation and safeguarding policies. Care & Support Planning : Develop and implement personalised care plans, promoting independence and well-being. Team Development : Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team, fostering a positive and professional working environment. Safeguarding & Risk Management : Ensure all young people are safeguarded and that risk assessments are effectively carried out and reviewed regularly. Stakeholder Engagement : Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, families, and other professionals to deliver the highest standard of care. Financial Oversight : Manage the budget and ensure cost-effective service delivery while maintaining high-quality care. Continuous Improvement : Drive quality improvement initiatives and best practices within the home. Essential Requirements: Registered Manager experience or equivalent in a similar residential setting. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it). Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and leaving care frameworks. Proven experience in supporting young people aged 16-18 transitioning to independence. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations. Desirable: Experience in working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches. A drivers license is preferable.
