About Us
We are an independent consultancy providing high-quality, traditional Clerks of Works and site inspection services to private and public sector clients, including housing associations and the NHS. We are looking for experienced Building Clerks of Works or Site Managers with a trade background seeking new opportunities and challenges.
Role and Responsibilities
* Ensure work is carried out according to client standards, specifications, materials, workmanship, and schedule.
* Provide reassurance that works align with contract documents through detailed inspections.
* Monitor progress against the client’s programme and review drawings for discrepancies.
* Witness and record tests and inspections on behalf of the client.
* Conduct site visits, either full-time or regular weekly visits.
* Ensure value for money and act as the client’s eyes and ears on site.
* Maintain communication with clients and design teams, attend meetings, and issue weekly reports.
* Travel to various locations across Yorkshire and occasionally further afield in the North West.
The Candidate
* Knowledge of the building industry, including materials, trades, methods, and legal requirements.
* Experience in hospital or social housing schemes (desirable).
* Proficiency with IT tools (Word, Outlook, PDF) and use of iPads on site.
* Own car (essential).
* Membership of ICWCI (desirable).
* Up-to-date CSCS card (essential).
* Enhanced DBS check required upon appointment.
