Position Summary
The purpose of an OPG UK Subsea Technician is to build technical and operational skills, so they can develop an opportunity to progress through the career framework levels.
As an operational starting point, it is essential to enhance inter and intra personnal skills in order to play their role in the operational team. Together with this is the forming of positive relationships and overcoming rewarding challenges, both independently and as a part of a team.
Duties And Responsibilities
SAFETY
All employees are required to:
1. Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonbly practicable to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Promote a strong HSE culture at all times
3. Participation in the company HSE Observation card, STOP and LSR self verifcation programs.
4. Use their SWA (Stop Work Authority) to stop a job they may feel is unsafe, in order to prevent an accident/incident occurring.
5. Work and abide by our 6 lifesaving rules: energy isolation, working at heights, suspended loads, radiation, confined space and pressure testing, and practice the fatality prevention behaviours that are associated with each lifesaving rule.
TECHNICAL
6. Use available asset and maintenance management systems to log equipment maintenance, current asset locations, and equipment certifications.
7. Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings, including general assembly, P&ID, Electrical and hydraulic schematics and assembly procedures.
8. Disassemble, inspect, maintain, repair and reassemble all equipment. Troubleshoot, identify and replace defective parts and components.
9. Operate equipment within an assigned scope, safely, competently and to the highest quality standard
10. Perform testing on all equipment, inclusive of function testing, factory acceptance testing and system integration testing.
11. Load and unload equipment and work vans.
12. Clean and remove dirt, grease, waste material and pressure wash equipment.
13. Clean work area, tools and equipment and perform other routine duties associated with day to day operations and equipment and work area upkeep.
14. Participate in the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives that are operated by Oceaneering, including the reporting of Non conformances (NC) and cost of poor quality (COPQ), and awareness of the Management of Change (MOC) process
15. Assist with all technical data for jobs such as changes to drawings, shematics, OMMs etc. as required for job.
16. Provide support on products and assists in maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning.
17. Interface with client representatives where necessary.
18. Work as a positive and collaborative team player, when working in team environments.
19. Work independently on tasks with varying degrees of supervision.
20. Be available for ADHOC onshore scopes if required.
21. Maintain credentials and complete required training on-line in Oceaneering’s chosen Learning Management System (Sum Total).

40. Knowledge of Microsoft based products, especially Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
