Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
* Analyse and troubleshoot mechanical systems, processes, and machinery to identify areas for improvement.
* Implement process changes, ensuring smooth integration and minimising downtime.
* Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality control, to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing.
* Manage and optimise the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring all are maintained and functioning to their full potential.
* Provide technical support for production teams and assist with training in new manufacturing processes and technologies.
* Oversee and lead projects related to equipment installation, process improvements, and new product introductions.
* Monitor performance metrics, track project milestones, and report to senior management.
* Assist in cost reduction initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and reducing waste.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, ideally with a mechanical background in a similar industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
* Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools is highly desirable.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* A proactive and results-driven attitude, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
