Graduate Payroll Assistant
Location: Tewkesbury
Hours: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Salary: £27,600.00 per annum
Job Description
We’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Graduate Payroll Assistant to join our client’s Finance team. This is an ideal role for a recent Finance or Business graduate who is highly numerate, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in payroll. In addition, you’ll have the chance to work towards a Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) qualification with full support.
Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Payroll Assistant
1. Support monthly payroll processing for over 500 employees, working closely with the Payroll Officer and Human Resources team.
2. Manage HMRC reporting, pension administration, and handle various payroll-related tasks.
3. Maintain accurate records, assist with year-end processes, and provide support for payroll queries.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and contribute to the team’s overall efficiency.
Key Skills of a Graduate Payroll Assistant
1. Degree-level education in Finance or Business.
2. Strong numeracy and IT skills, especially in Excel; experience with Sage is desirable.
3. Excellent communication skills and a positive team player.
4. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
5. Some office experience is preferred.
