School Cleaner Required as soon as possible Part time: 15 hours per week Permanent / Term time 1 week Salary grade A point 2 (FTE £23656 per annum) £8248.73 actual salary per annum Pear Tree Community Junior School is seeking to appoint a conscientious and reliable cleaner to join our experienced and friendly team. The successful applicant will carry out general cleaning duties to provide a clean, hygienic, safe environment for our children. Main Responsibilities are: ? To undertake the cleaning of the school buildings using allotted cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment. ? To carry out a range of cleaning duties, to include but not limited to, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, dusting, mopping etc etc ? To comply with legislation, school procedures and safe working practices. ? To report faults and hazards as soon as identified to their Supervisor or member of the SLT ? To undertake training relevant to their job, in order to ensure that their work is carried out to the highest possible standard. ? To work on their own initiative, unsupervised whilst carrying out their duties. You will: ? Have a basic understanding of different cleaning methods and equipment. ? Be confident in their awareness of Health & Safety ? Be able to work as part of a team ? Be happy to partake in any training offered to support you in your role ? Be able to work on your own initiative and to ask for help when required.
