The Finance Manager will be responsible for various financial activities, including month-end reporting, forecasting, business planning, business partnering, stakeholder management, managing the finance function, line management, creation of management reports, and assisting with pricing. This is a key role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Role and Responsabilities Month end reporting: Oversee the month-end financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial forecasts and models to support business planning and decision-making. Monitor financial performance against forecasts and identify areas of risk or opportunity. Business Planning: Contribute to the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans. Collaborate with various departments to align financial goals with business objectives. Business partnering/stakeholder management: Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive business performance. Build strong relationships and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Helping manage the finance function: Support the overall management of the finance function, including financial operations, compliance, and risk management. Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Line management: Initially manage one employee, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Oversee their work, provide performance feedback, and promote their professional development. As the team grows, assume additional line management responsibilities. Creation of management reports: Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and areas requiring attention. Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making. Helping with Pricing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze pricing strategies and support pricing decisions. Evaluate pricing models, profitability analysis, and competitive landscape to maximize revenue and profitability. Skills and Experience Part of fully qualified accountant: Hold a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience. Forecasting: Strong experience in financial forecasting, including the ability to develop accurate models, analyze trends, and identify potential risks and opportunities. Key Stakeholder management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. SAP: Proficiency in SAP or other relevant ERP systems for financial management and reporting. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Solid understanding of financial reporting principles, including the ability to prepare accurate and insightful financial statements and analysis. Business Process Improvement: Proven track record in identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements to enhance financial operations. Cashflow and Balance Sheet Management: Knowledge and experience in managing cash flow, working capital, and maintaining a healthy balance sheet. Setting and Tracking of Key Performance Indicators: Ability to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate financial performance and drive improvements. Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for financial analysis, reporting, and presentation purposes. People Management: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing teams, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
