Excellent Finance Manager/Financial Controller opportunity with a £30m t/o rapidly expanding retail / wholesale business (30% annual growth) based in the Merseyside area. Reporting directly to the FD and heading a small finance team, your remit will include:
* Monthly management accounts
* Profit & Loss analysis and reporting by business area.
* Variance analysis - including commentary on budget variances.
* Month end journals.
* Balance sheet control and reconciliations.
* Managing 2 Accounts Assistants (Accounts payable/ receivable and payroll).
* Marketing and promotion ROI analysis.
* Stock Management.
* Pricing and margin analysis for new products.
* Maintenance of product costs.
* Profitability analysis - channel and product category level.
* Quarterly UK VAT return.
* Monthly/Quarterly sales tax returns for US and EU markets.
* Liaising with external auditors to produce year end statutory accounts.
* Supporting the FD with MI pack development.
* Developing current financial controls and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Applicants should be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA - or later stage active studiers - with previous experience in a supervisory role. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build cross-functional relationships, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible results. Applicants who have operated in a similar profile role in the retail/wholesale/e-commerce/logistics sector will be of particular interest. Xero experience would be beneficial and strong MS excel skills are essential. An annual salary to £50k (possibly a little flexibility depending on experience) is complemented with benefits including Bonus, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing by one per year to a maximum of 30, Pension employer 5%/employee 5%, Hybrid Working (4 days office / 1 day home), and an excellent working environment and culture.
