Bottlegreen Drinks Co is a part of the SHS group and is a small production facility manufacturing and bottling soft drinks in the heart of the Cotswolds just outside Stroud. With a current workforce of approx. 35, we are a small, closely knit team who are dedicated to producing high quality premium products.
The role involves working a rolling 3 shift pattern from 05:45 Monday morning through to Friday evening at 21:00 in a team of 3 (one engineer per shift). The shift pattern works on a 3 week cycle: early, late, and day. Early shift is from 05:45 to 14:15, late shift from 13:45 to 22:15, and day shift from 07:30 to 16:00.
In normal circumstances, there will be no overtime, but on occasion, it may be required, and we would expect some adaptability and flexibility to accommodate this.
The position reports to the Engineering and Project Manager.
All shifts attract a salary multiplier of 1.1, and the day shift engineer would be expected to cover nighttime callouts, which are rare. Holidays are 23 days per annum with an option to purchase up to five extra (at management discretion). Bank holidays are additional to this, but on occasion, you may be asked to work a Bank Holiday for which you will be given an extra day at a later date.
There is an optional pension scheme to which the company will match personal contributions up to a max of 5%; you can choose to contribute more if you wish.
The role is focused on ensuring that line downtime is kept to a minimum through proactive planned preventative maintenance and prompt response to any issues that arise. As a result, the role requires someone who is adaptable and able to problem-solve in a sometimes pressured environment. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
* Fault finding on electrical systems
* Knowledge of PLCs
* Carrying out routine PPMs – lubrication, changing seals, meter readings, replacing worn bearings, conveyor components, etc.
* Computer literate – Excel/Word
* Experience of a CMMS and stores stock system
* Mechanical and pneumatic fault finding
* Diagnosing faults with 3ph electric motors and pumps
* Some basic electrical knowledge/fault finding experience
We are looking for someone who is adaptable, able to work unsupervised, and capable of prioritizing their own workload. Working as part of a small team is essential, as is dedication to safety and quality.
Groupwide, we offer enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave, Life Assurance, and career development. For general wellbeing, we have a year-round calendar of health and wellbeing events, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for all employees, and a Perks Scheme with discounts and savings.
We can offer you a company pension scheme, enhanced sick pay, and there’s a company bonus if targets are hit. There is both a site and a companywide reward scheme, with candidates being nominated by the workforce, not management. The company shuts down between Christmas and New Year and provides an annual Birthday Day off.
Bottlegreen also fundraises for a charity nominated by the employees (burger days and cakes are always a winner!), and you’ll have the chance to volunteer for a day during the year for a charity of your choice.
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are not able to get back to everyone who applies. Therefore, if you have not heard back from Bottlegreen within 7 days, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful; however, we will contact you if suitable roles come up that match your skill set.
