If so an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Healthcare Support Worker from a Nursing or AHP background to work with the HCSW Education Team in the implementation of the All Wales Clinical HCSW Career and Skills Framework, for all health and social care staff. Including planning, co-ordination, facilitation and the educational delivery of the HCSW Foundation Programme and associated training.The post holder will deliver training autonomously and as a team, providing instruction for clinical elements of the All Wales NHS Clinical HCSW Induction Programme, undertaking assessment of learning, and maintaining up to date records of learning and development, in line with policy and procedure.The post holder will be involved in facilitating with senior staff within universities, colleges and schools providing information and advice to those individuals who wish to become future HCSW's and/or registered nurses/health care professionals.The applicant must be educated to a minimum of QCF Level 3, plus possess additional knowledge of clinical procedures and patient conditions acquired through theoretical courses to QCF Level 4 equivalency.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the jobIf you are a Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.Under the supervision of the HCSW Education and Development Manager, the post will involve the co-ordination of effective and efficient clinical education provision that meets the requirements of the HCSW Framework. This will involve devising lesson plans, delivering training and communicating with other UHB staff and external course tutors to gain their availability to deliver education sessions to the HCSW's undertaking the Framework.The post holder will be available and accessible to all Health Care Support Workers undertaking the training. They will make effective use of current training programmes and will support the delivery of new programmes developed by the Nurse Education Department.The post holder will have excellent communication, and presentation skills to deliver a flexible range of clinical education programmes in order to support Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in the delivery of the HCSW Framework overcoming any barriers to understanding learners may have eg. no NHS experience, no clinical terminology knowledge.The role will require use of a range of administration systems, including databases and spreadsheets, sending emails to co-ordinate and record the HCSW's education, in accordance with Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB policies and procedures.
