We are one of the most active strategic acquirors of other companies in our sector, and use our acquisitions as a catalyst for growing new offerings and scaling existing ones. You'll work as part of a European (and broader Global) Corporate Development team operating end-to-end across the acquisition deal cycle, from M&A strategy definition and origination through deal execution and into integration. M&A is a key component in Accenture's growth strategy and you will be at the heart of it in a high profile role, with an opportunity to build corporate development skills and relationships, and business knowledge.

In our team you will learn:
* Corporate Development and Corporate finance techniques and experience from a highly active M&A programme
* Relationships and credibility with a broad range of stakeholders across business sponsor and deal roles
* Professional communication and relationship-building
* Access to advanced knowledge and experience base building on many closed transactions globally in recent years, and to access to international experts and external advisors
* Due diligence, both financial and operational
* Advanced programme management
* Deal execution, including operational problem-solving, legal agreements and negotiation skills
As a Corporate Development V&A Specialist you will:
* Support the origination, evaluation, execution and negotiation of Accenture strategic acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and divestitures, across Europe.
* Develop acquisition target evaluation criteria, collaborating with business strategy teams
* Analyse market landscape to find appropriate targets according to specified criteria
* Business and financial analysis of potential merger and acquisition targets to judge viability and "fit"
* Develop financial models which demonstrate impact of M&A on Accenture economics
* Prepare target company valuations
* Perform appropriate finance due diligence exercises (including interaction with specialist teams), and coordinate across multi-disciplined work streams for other areas of due diligence
* Support negotiation of key transaction documents.
* Prepare reports for senior Accenture executive team and Board review
* Communicate with target management/owners and their advisors
* Train other Corporate Development team members and share knowledge and techniques
We are looking for the following experience:
* Experience gained in Big4 or in Mergers & Acquisitions or a Corporate Development department
* University degree in finance, and/or ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA qualified
* Strong programme management skills
* Excellent analytical (including advanced Excel modelling skills), writing, and verbal skills
* Professional maturity and personal integrity
* Robust communication and collaboration skills
* Strong work ethic and ambition
* Proficiency in English. Other European languages will be an advantage
* Willingness to travel for business across Europe
