Facilities Manager (Managing Agent)
Location: Newcastle & North East (including Teeside South, Alnwick North, Whitby East)
Salary: £39,000 package (£35,000 + £4000 car allowance) + bonus

Are you an experienced Facilities Manager looking for a dynamic, client-facing role across a multi-site commercial and mixed-use property portfolio? Our client, a leading managing agent, is seeking a proactive and service-driven Facilities Manager to join their team in the North East.
Portfolio: 15-20 properties - industrial and retail predominantly. Plus a multi-let office and a vacant.
The Role:
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of customer service, health & safety compliance, and facilities management across multiple sites. You will ensure service levels and property management standards are met while collaborating with Management Surveyors and client teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and monitor all hard and soft services across assigned properties.
* Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance programs.
* Conduct regular site visits to ensure property condition, service delivery, and health & safety compliance.
* Procure and manage service contracts, ensuring supplier performance through KPIs.
* Assist in managing service charge budgets and financial oversight.
* Maintain accurate property records and compliance documentation.
* Act as the primary liaison between occupiers, on-site staff, and service providers.
* Support the implementation of national/regional FM service strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Facilities Management, ideally within a managing agent environment.
* Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant relationships in commercial property.
* NEBOSH General Certificate, IWFM or IOSH membership (desirable).
* Understanding of health & safety regulations, fire risk, asbestos awareness, and water hygiene.
* Proven contract management skills, including supplier performance oversight.
* Self-motivated, solution-driven, and highly organized with strong communication skills.
* Full UK driving license required.
