Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen at Barking Havering and Redbridge Unviversity Trust to appoint an experienced infection prevention and control practitioner into the role of Associate Director of Infection Prevention and Control. The post holder will be a senior member of the pathology leadership team within the cancer and clinical support clinical group and will work with the Director for Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) to lead, manage and provide a proactive strategic infection prevention and control service ensuring that the Trust continually improves its performance in reducing healthcare-associated infections by developing systems that are evidence-based and grounded in best practice. As a professional role model and strong clinical leader you will demonstrate an excellent understanding of infection prevention and control issues, analytical thinking and ensuring that patients are placed at the centre of care delivery. We have a well established and dynamic Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team which supports clinical and corporate services across Queens and King George Hospitals as well as community diagnostic centres. The Associate Director of Infection Prevention and Control (ADIPC) will be responsible for leading the IPC team and managing the operational delivery of the team in line with organisational strategic objectives.
