Purpose of Role We are seeking an experienced Data Officer to create and deliver regular data selections for direct marketing efforts across email, mail, and telephone. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, and they should be comfortable liaising with a range of colleagues across all departments in the Supporter Engagement Team. Gauging and delivering data requirements carefully and efficiently, the role would also benefit from someone who can proactively identify and implement improvements more widely. The successful candidate should also be experienced in data import processes across a wide range of offline and online income streams, ensuring data is imported promptly, accurately and all anomalies investigated and resolved. Understanding how to create import profiles would be advantageous. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the Data, Technology and Insight help desk providing first level support which would include assisting in the reconciliation between our CRM and our Financial systems. Working within the Data, Technology and Insight Team alongside and under the guidance of the CRM & Data Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to enhance data-driven segmentation and help Animals Asia to deliver successful campaigns and achieve ambitious targets. Reporting to : CRM & Data Manager Key Responsibilities Undertake data marketing selections liaising with fundraising colleagues on selection criteria. Coordinating and delivering regular data files for direct marketing efforts across email, mail, and telephone and other ad-hoc communications and activities. Ensuring marketing briefs are reviewed thoroughly and fit for purpose for each activity, and maintaining and developing templates as required. Creating, configuring, and maintaining direct marketing efforts on CRM, including segments, appeals, packages, and communication templates. Applying sector best-practice guidelines, ensuring data integrity is prioritised and compliance regulations are understood and met. Data Imports from a range of sources including fulfilment and printing houses including identifying and fixing any errors. An understanding of creating data import profiles from various data sources. Maintaining the team’s inbox, providing first level support. Become the Data, Technology and Insight lead on reconciliation issues between the CRM & the Finance team. Documenting processes and best practice in relation to core tasks and activities, providing guidance across departments. Other tasks commensurate with the role as appropriate as directed by the CRM & Data Manager including the production of our annual supporter statements. Requirements Experience using Blackbaud CRM and/or other Fundraising CRMs. (Essential) Experience in delivering marketing selections. (Essential) Experience in planning multiple selections. (Essential) Experience in Data Imports from a range of sources. (Essential) Experience in creating data imports. (Desirable) Experience in maintaining database administration including setting up new accounts, appeals and code tables. (Desirable) The ability to problem-solve and independently manage workload working with minimal supervision. (Essential) The ability to create effective working relationships and having good communication and interpersonal skills. (Essential) Understanding of Data Protection law and GDPR and how this legislation is applied in a Database Officer Role. (Essential) Knowledge of SQL.
