A leading architectural practice based in Soho, London, is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join its dynamic and international team. Specialising in high-end residential and hospitality projects, the firm is known for its work on prestigious listed townhouses in London, with project values reaching up to £20 million. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of exceptional, high-quality developments, both in the UK and overseas, contributing to all stages of the project lifecycle, particularly RIBA Stages 4 and 5. At any given time, the firm typically manages 12-15 projects, with each director overseeing multiple projects and dedicated job runners ensuring smooth execution from start to finish The firm fosters a flexible and collaborative working environment, where team members are encouraged to develop a broad skill set rather than being confined to repetitive tasks. Approximately 75% of its projects are based in London, while the firm also acts as concept architects for select overseas developments. The office operates with a structure that includes one principal, three directors, and three associates, with the remaining staff consisting of architects, job runners, and Part 2 architectural assistants, alongside two administrative staff members. Architectural Technologist Salary & Benefits Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 DOE 21 days of annual leave (increasing to 25 with length of service). Annual discretionary bonus scheme. Architectural Technologist Job Overview Working predominately on high end residential London projects Working alongside 20 members of staff which consist of one principal, three directors, and three associates, with the remaining staff consisting of architects, job runners, and Part 2 architectural assistants Working on Vectorworks with detailed and technical design Architectural Technologist Job Requirements Proficiency in Vectorworks or AutoCAD. Extensive experience in detailed and technical design, including the preparation of tender and construction documentation (NBS preferred). Coordination of design with consultant teams. Site experience and engagement in construction stages. Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Approved Documents. Understanding of best practice detailing and specification of building materials, products, and workmanship. Experience in high-end residential and/or hospitality sectors.
