Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) for a welcoming school in Thanet. In this role, you will support students with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive through personalized care and guidance.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum effectively.
2. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
3. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
4. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
5. Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth by building positive relationships with students.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education is preferred.
2. A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
3. Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with learning barriers.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting.
6. Understanding of various SEN conditions.
7. Updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to apply).
8. Immediate availability to start.
