As the Campus Cafe Manager, a typical day might include:
* Being responsible for cooking and preparing a variety of dishes, ensuring that food is fresh and adheres to health & safety
standards.
* Devising menus, cook and present a range of dishes to a high standard within budgetary constraints.
* Managing the on-site cafe alongside catering of the conferencing facilities, ensuring each day runs smoothly and efficiently
whilst also delivering a great experience and culture for our people, partners and customers.
* Alongside overseeing daily operation of the café, including scheduling and menu development.
* Supporting the planning and delivery of catering for events and workshops.
* You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with health and safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times,
carrying out audit and maintaining accurate records.
* Organising procurement of catering supplies, negotiating best value for money and ensuring management of stock.
* Leading a team of staff, providing feedback and support, alongside developing skills.
* Promoting excellent customer service, leading by example.
* You will have the opportunity to work with the Campus team to develop promotions and events that drive customer engagement.
What looks good to us:
* NVQ 1&2 in Catering and Hospitality (or equivalent qualification).
* Level 2/3 Certificate in Food Safety in Catering.
* Sound budget and food cost control along with strong organisational and administrative skills.
* A good level of Health & Safety knowledge and an ability to apply this.
* You will have strong literacy skills with the ability to write clearly and effectively and to communicate with a variety of
different people.
* You will be an organised individual who can plan and carry out a varied busy workload.
* You will have the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* A flexible approach to work and the ability to meet challenges and adapt to change are essential for the role
* Full drivers licence desirable but not essential must be able to travel to the Campus of Future Living, Mablethorpe.
* You will have good knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft packages.
