The Royal Devon University NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Safety and Quality Administrator to join their team. In this new role, you will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver Clinical Governance, Quality and Patient Safety within the Surgical Care Group.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the clinical leadership and governance team across a range of administrative requirements, with a key focus on Safety and Quality improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in all aspects of Governance to gain experience and knowledge across the wide range of services within the Surgical Care Group.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
The Safety and Quality Administrator will have responsibility for coordinating the activities of the Quality, Safety and Improvement team, ensuring that meetings are scheduled, taking notes or minutes and coordinating the drafting of information. Providing administrative support, the post holder will work closely with the Lead for Quality and Safety, Safety and Quality Improvement Managers and Complaints Handlers, as well as members of the Care Group Leadership team.
The post holder should have previous experience in an administration role and knowledge of quality and safety priorities. They should have experience of working within a busy environment and be flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the service. This is a varied and diverse role, which allows the post holder to be involved in multiple aspects of healthcare quality and safety management, including Risk, Incident management, patient feedback, audit, learning from excellence and quality improvement. This role will be based on our Northern Devon site in Barnstaple.
