Test Manager (Edinburgh - Hybrid)
Head Resourcing is pleased to be working with a governing body seeking an experienced Test Manager to join their team in Edinburgh.
As part of their ongoing Digital Transformation Programme, they are looking for a Test Manager to oversee the testing process for their Microsoft 365 CRM implementation, as well as other digital transformation projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the testing strategy, planning, and execution, ensuring that the CRM integrates effectively with other systems, including Business Central. The CRM will replace an existing membership management system, and the project is being implemented in collaboration with a Microsoft Gold Partner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy for the CRM project and other digital transformation initiatives.
2. Lead the planning and execution of all testing activities, ensuring alignment with the project objectives.
3. Oversee the setup and configuration of test environments, ensuring they are appropriate and fully functional.
4. Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and SMEs to ensure the testing process supports the overall project goals.
5. Design, execute, and review test cases, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
6. Manage defect identification, documentation, and resolution in collaboration with third-party development teams.
7. Provide mentorship and training to team members and SMEs to enhance testing quality.
8. Regularly report on test progress, providing clear insights into risks, issues, and the status of testing efforts.
Required Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Test Manager, particularly working with non-expert testers.
2. Hands-on experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and other Microsoft products.
3. Strong familiarity with UAT processes, particularly working alongside SMEs to support successful delivery.
4. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
5. Experience in managing the testing of third-party software implementations.
6. Expertise in managing testing teams and the delivery of testing activities across multiple projects.
7. Deep knowledge of test management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot complex testing issues.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical teams.
Salary: Up to £42k
