Job Title: Software Quality Engineer
Location: Harlow (Hybrid with 3 days a week on site)
Summary of Role:
Raytheon UKare looking for a Software Quality Engineer for the Advanced Products Business Area. This role line-reports to the Quality Engineer Team Lead but will also work directly with the Raytheon Software Engineering Department.
Main Duties:
1. Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control. documentation on Software (and/or Firmware) are compliant with regulatory requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
2. Writing and reviewing Software Quality Plans and reports.
3. Conducting Internal Software Quality audit activities (process & product) and accurately recording & monitoring Non-Conformances with RCCA.
4. Ensure that Software Certification Requirements are managed and adhered to within both Software Development & production test environments.
5. Independent verification & validation of the software development lifecycle. Quality review at the requirements, design, code & test phases.
6. Review of Software Design Documents, requirements analysis and Software Requirements Specifications (SRSs).
7. Control and monitoring of Bought in Software and its implications.
8. Approval of any software tool evaluations.
9. Quality support to program reviews or Management Reviews.
10. Assist Business Leads with customer liaison on any External Customer Software audits or meetings.
11. Concession management & Stakeholder Management.
Candidate Requirements:
12. Developing and maintaining sound, productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Quality Authority on all our Software Certification needs.
13. Experience of problem solving and resolution. Exceptional attention to detail.
14. Relevant years professional experience in quality assurance.
15. Communicating withtechnical SMEs, internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels within the business.
Essential Knowledge/Experience
16. Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies and practise.
17. B.S or M.S in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent qualification or technical experience.
18. ISO Auditor Trained forISO9001 and or AS9100.
19. Knowledge and experience of software standards: RTCA DO-178C or ED-109A or Def Stan 00-55.
20. Knowledge of Software coding and test using C+, C++, JIRA
21. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
22. Experience of working within a Quality Assurance team supporting one or more programs
23. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexible and positive attitude. Team Player.
Desirable:
24. Software Configuration Management, FCA/PCA
25. Experience of Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket
26. Knowledge of DAOS, DEF CON, RESA, AQAPs
27. A love for automation
The work will be based out of our Harlow Site with possible national travel requirements.
