Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
SDC is keen to speak with Assistant or Project Quantity Surveyors who enjoy a collective approach to success and maintain strong and mutually beneficial relationships with the supply-chain. Projects include refurbishment and new builds across the pharmaceutical, student accommodation, automotive, and commercial sectors with project values up to £70m.
As part of the project delivery team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the wider site team to deliver first-class commercial support through communication, teamwork, and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the preparation of contracts, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
2. Input into the procurement of key trades, working in line with the project procurement strategy.
3. Managing supply chain relationships through building and maintaining strong relationships.
4. Providing financial information for reporting purposes and attending CVR meetings.
5. Undertake measures and re-measures.
6. Assisting in the management and control of variations.
7. Value, certify, and issue any relevant payment notices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditions of their subcontract.
8. Ensure that external valuations are submitted in accordance with conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date.
Experience and Qualities:
Proven experience of working on new build or refurbishment projects in a similar role.
Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
Experience in re-measurement of key trades packages.
Be sincere and approachable.
