Are you a dedicated and empathetic tutor with experience in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We have an exciting opportunity to work with a Year 10 male pupil in Burnley, focusing on core subjects: English, Maths, and Science.
About the Role:
* Pupil: Year 10 Male, SEMH Needs
* Location: Burnley (In-person sessions)
* Subjects: English, Maths, Science (Core subjects)
* Hours: Flexible, part-time sessions (to be discussed)
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored one-on-one support to improve the pupil’s academic performance in English, Maths, and Science.
* Foster a positive, patient, and nurturing environment to encourage learning and emotional growth.
* Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to meet the pupil’s specific needs and build confidence.
* Use engaging, creative, and flexible approaches to maintain focus and enthusiasm for learning.
* Work closely with the pupil’s family and school to ensure consistent support and progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with SEMH students, particularly at secondary school level.
* Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science.
* Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural challenges.
* Ability to build trust and rapport, creating a safe space for learning.
