We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Technician Team on a part-time basis, providing essential technical support across Art/Design and computer science lessons. Role Overview
As a Practical Support Technician, you will coordinate practical resources, assist with setting up and clearing away lessons, and provide advice to both staff and students. You’ll ensure our classrooms are well-equipped and organised, supporting our staff in delivering high-quality education. You’ll also have the chance to contribute your skills and expertise to other curriculum areas as part of a dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support for Lessons
o Work closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth operation of lessons by preparing and setting up equipment, assisting with practical lessons, and organizing resources like tools, materials, and components.
o Provide hands-on support and technical advice during lessons and ensure the safe storage and maintenance of equipment.
o Keep equipment in excellent condition, ensuring all safety procedures and risk assessments are followed.
2. Health and Safety
o Ensure all relevant health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH assessments, are followed.
o Assist in the safe disposal of materials and ensure proper PPE is worn where necessary.
3. Maintenance of Stores and Equipment
o Oversee the maintenance of our stores and preparation areas, ensuring they are safe and well-stocked.
o Take responsibility for stocktaking and report any equipment needs to HoDs or maintenance needs to site team.
4. Additional Responsibilities
o Support exciting school events such as outreach programs, with opportunity to partake in extracurricular events such as F1 in Schools.
o Collaborate with local, regional, and national organizations to promote best practices.
o Offer advice and support to local partner schools to share your expertise and knowledge.
