As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing innovative mechanical solutions for both new and legacy Electronic Warfare products. You'll work hands-on with 3D CAD software, conduct structural analyses, and deliver cost-effective designs within timescales. You'll collaborate with various engineering teams and manage aspects of the engineering work package, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design using 3D CAD software and perform structural analysis. Develop and deliver optimised, innovative designs while meeting budget and deadlines. Manage your own work package elements and ensure high-quality results. Work collaboratively across engineering functions, supporting product manufacturability and problem-solving. Liaise with suppliers and attend visits at other UK sites as required.Job Requirements:
Degree in a relevant technical or science field, with aerospace-related experience. Proven ability in mechanical engineering design and analysis (including GD&T and BS8888 standards). Proficient in CAD tools (preferably Creo), with a solid understanding of material selection and manufacturing techniques. Familiar with ERP, PLM, and PDM systems (Teamcenter and SAP are beneficial). Chartered Engineer status or working towards this.Benefits:
