We require candidates to have essential software and script development experience on Windows and Linux platforms, using an Object-Oriented Programming Language and Database Query Language. An understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle is also necessary. Ideally, you will possess a degree or equivalent experience in a technology, engineering, science, or IT-related discipline.
Desirable qualifications include a capability to grasp emergent technologies and apply them to current or future integration tools. Familiarity with virtualization technologies, containerization, and knowledge of how simulated environments support system integration will be beneficial. Additionally, experience with data recording and/or analysis tools, such as Wireshark, is advantageous.
Description
In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining the existing toolset deployed across our integration labs. You will also be responsible for developing future tools and maintaining the toolset roadmap. Performing post-event data analysis of recorded Combat System data and organizing toolset training will be key components of your responsibilities.
This position is onsite in Portsmouth due to equipment requirements and cannot be done remotely. You will be part of a team focused on developing and maintaining the integration, test, and analysis support infrastructure for the Naval Ships Combat Systems teams.
