Diocesan Accounting Trainee
How can you help grow the Kingdom of God in Llandaff? This is an exciting time in our diocese, as we embed our vision of Faith Matters which aims to transform lives through faith, education and social justice. Llandaff is one of six dioceses in the Church in Wales and covers much of South Wales.
As part of this vision we have started a new service, to support churches across the Diocese by providing a book-keeping and accounting service, free at the point of use. This service has been rolled out to five Ministry Areas and the plan is to roll it out across the whole of the Diocese in the coming year. To support this growth we are seeking to recruit a Diocesan Accounting Trainee. Dependant on the candidate this may be a formal apprenticeship role, with associated training support for a professional qualification, likely to be AAT.
The person that we are looking for will
* Have a good understanding of the ethos of the Church in Wales
* Be able to thrive in a changing environment, particularly as we roll out this service and engage with volunteers across the Diocese
* Be a team player, able to engage with colleagues within the Diocesan Finance function and also with volunteer Treasurers from across the Diocese
* Be disciplined and organised in their work
