About the role
You will introduce new Retail and Hospitality clients to Red Badger. You will be their trusted advisor and ensure Red Badger delivers the right outcomes for them. You will do the right thing for your clients at every stage of their journey. You will establish, maintain and grow a profitable portfolio of client accounts in this way.
You will:
1. Establish trust and credibility with a new audience of potential clients
2. Understand their goals and challenges
3. Identify opportunities where Red Badger’s services can help them
4. Construct, and agree, mutually beneficial commercial deals
5. Strengthen that bond of trust by delivering outcomes, retaining them as a client and finding further opportunities to help them
6. You will be accountable for client satisfaction, revenue growth and profitability.
7. You will be empowered to evolve our propositions and services to match market demand and trends in the Retail Sector, partnering with our Discipline Leads and Marketing to do so.
8. You will join the Senior Leadership Team, and work closely with our Finance and People teams, ensuring you have the information you need to make empowered and accountable decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* New business development
* Define a strategy to develop Red Badger’s market presence and propositions within the Retail Sector and secure new accounts
* Generate and nurture your own sales pipeline
* Lead proposals and pitches for new business
* Work in partnership with Marketing and our Discipline Leads to take propositions out to your network
* Client portfolio management
* Be the primary point of contact for each client within your portfolio
* Collaborate and consult with clients to support their strategy and long-term roadmaps
* Take ownership for the delivery of client outcomes
* Advocate for the client's objectives within Red Badger
* Work in partnership with our Discipline Leads and senior practitioners to ensure quality of delivery enables delivery of client outcomes
* Lead engagement planning for each account in your portfolio to ensure the senior delivery team are alive to risks and opportunities within each account
* Maintain, and monitor, client satisfaction
* Drive account retention, by ensuring client satisfaction and delivery of outcomes
* Identify new opportunities within each client account, driving revenue growth
* Commercial
* Plan and forecast revenue in order to achieve portfolio goals and drive business development/client account management objectives
* Construct and close on profitable deals, working in partnership with our Finance team
* Navigate procurement processes and contractual negotiations, working in partnership with our Commercial Director and legal counsel
* Provide strategic advice and/or account management, in a part-billable role, to clients within your portfolio
* Industry focus
* Be Red Badger’s face of the Retail Sector internally and externally
* Maintain and grow your profile within the Retail Sector by seeking out public writing and speaking opportunities
* Use your profile within the Retail Sector to grow awareness and credibility of Red Badger in the marketplace
* Identify dynamics/trends within the Retail Sector, evolving our propositions and services accordingly
* Contribute to the wider Retail Sector community, by sharing Red Badger’s unique experience and insight
* Champion the Retail Sector internally at Red Badger, helping to educate and inspire the wider team

* Your leadership experience
* You have experience in a leadership role where you have routinely secured and overseen £2m+ budgets
* You are a confident and articulate communicator, comfortable presenting to senior executives
* You are comfortable taking senior executives on challenging journeys to deliver meaningful outcomes over multi-month/year programmes of work
* You regularly advise on and/or provide strategic oversight of complex/strategic initiatives
* You understand how to drive business performance metrics
* You are comfortable working with goals and objectives
* Digital Product (CX Design, Technology and/or Agile delivery)
* You have overseen the design and delivery of complex CX Design and/or Technology programmes
* You understand how the correct application of CX Design and Technology can meet the challenges of modern enterprises
* You can identify opportunities to improve business via the delivery of digital products and services
