Production Technician

The Production Technician will be required to support Production Engineers with creating and managing process documentation.
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
1. Update and maintain technical documentation and Work Instructions of existing processes e.g. new photographs, clearer descriptions
2. Assist Production Engineers and Manufacturing Cell Leaders with the training of Production Operatives
3. Risk assessments
4. Compiling Management of Change documentation
5. Trialing of new tools and fixtures
6. Assist with the design of new fixtures
7. Inspection of existing tooling and arranging repairs and renewals with maintenance department when required
8. Create CAD models and drawings for tooling, gauges and equipment
9. Compile reports and maintain a log of activities
Production Technician Specification:
1. Right to live and work in the UK
2. Demonstrate general engineering knowledge
3. BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering or chemistry related discipline
4. Proficient in MS Office
5. Ability to understand Sop/Process Instructions
6. Demonstrate knowledge of reading and understanding of engineering drawings
This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
