This role gives you the opportunity to be at the forefront of creating the circular economy by being responsible for the HWRC (Household Waste Recycling Center) facility where this role allows you full operational and engineering autonomy across the site and reports directly into the Contract Director.

Your key responsibilities:
• Ensuring Local Authority and Renewi Service Level Agreements are achieved in compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental Permits/Licences/Consents/Planning
• Assisting in the delivery of continuous improvement around Lifecycle, Capital, R&M and productivity
• Management of the production processes and associated activities are cost effective by developing and implementing appropriate financial controls to the operations, along with monitoring and controlling the operations to ensure the achievement of budgeted revenue, operating profit and cash targets
• Utilising KPI’s as effective operational and financial management tools
• Drive and lead solutions to prevent reoccurrence of maintenance issues on site, with best practise cascaded across all sites
• Ensure Health and Safety standards and procedures are maintained and all related documentation is completed and trained out with a positive and proactive approach
Extra information

• Experience within the waste industry, but experience in other process based industries such as manufacturing, waste water, quarrying etc. would be considered
• Experience of operating facilities under budgetary constraints
• Relevant COTC Certificate (4TMNH) and (4LNH), IOSH/NEBOSH Certificate/ working knowledge of HAZOP procedures and commitments,
1. Proven track record of working to clearly defined KPIs, and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
2. Evidence of the ability to identify and implement change programmes that have a positive impact on operational and business requirements
