Are you looking for a new challenge and would like to join a team where you can work with like-minded people to really make a difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable care experienced children and young people?
Do you believe that by co-producing services, valuing and trusting your team and being aspirational helps get the best outcomes?
Do you like the idea of working for a vibrant local voluntary organisation where you can really have an impact and help shape the vision for care services?
Would you like to be part of the leadership team for our forward-thinking charity?
Do you want to lead and deliver a key part of Break’s growth strategy?
If so, we would love to hear from you!
About the role:
You will be providing strategic and operational leadership to a range of residential children’s homes and projects across East Anglia. You will be empowered and supported to develop and shape our services to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people, leading and developing a team of highly capable and ambitious managers to perform at their best.
This role sits as part of the Care Leadership Team, alongside other brilliant people so you will have lots of peer support, opportunities to stretch your own skills and talents and develop your career.
No two days will be the same, but each week starts and ends with a whole Care Leadership Team catch up, sharing risks, plans and successes. You’ll have a few days working at home, some in head office and usually 1-2 days in services (or pro rata for part time).
About Break:
Here at Break, we love delivering amazing services for children and young people – we currently use our charitable income to add value to the lives of those we support.
As an innovator in transition support for young people leaving care, we also have a range of residential services, a therapeutic service, a fostering agency and services for disabled children and their families. Our work allows some of the most vulnerable children and young people locally to stay in their communities and near the people who are important to them.
Our approach to delivering care services is unique. Our services are trauma-informed and are supported by a highly skilled therapeutic team and co-production is at the very heart of everything we do. Alongside this we have a lifelong offer which means that we stay with young people for as long as they need us which means we never really say goodbye and we are incredibly proud of this offer.
It is a great time to join Break as we are growing and reaching more and more young people. We are delivering excellent outcomes and sector leading impact. Our ambition is to grow and build even further and to create an environment where people can really grow and develop their talent. We invest in our young people and the careers of those who care for them.
In your role, you’ll have access to the following benefits:
* A “golden hello” scheme welcoming you to our services, with £500 paid to you one month after your start date and a second £500 at the six-month mark, depending on eligibility to scheme. (Candidates referred via recruitment agencies are not eligible).
* Excellent annual leave package, including additional service-related holiday from 2 years.
* Access to a wealth of training and learning opportunities including the opportunity to enhance your professional development through funded level 7 courses.
