SEN Teaching Assistant – Salford (M3) Join Teaching Personnel in collaboration with a respected SEN Secondary School located in Salford. Dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, this school is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support a higher-ability class, predominantly comprised of students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). In this role, you will be instrumental in meeting the educational and emotional needs of these students. Your adeptness in behaviour management will be pivotal in maintaining a positive and conducive learning atmosphere. Key Responsibilities : Provide tailored support to students with SEN within a higher-ability class. Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver differentiated lessons that cater to individual needs. Cultivate a supportive and stimulating classroom ambiance conducive to learning and growth. Employ effective behaviour management techniques and foster positive social interactions. Offer personalised one-to-one support and facilitate small-group interventions to enhance learning outcomes. Work closely with the SEN team to implement Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Maintain accurate records and provide timely progress and behaviour reports to the class teacher and SEN coordinator. Requirements : Demonstrated experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably working with students with ASC. Proficiency in behaviour management techniques. Ability to uphold a positive and composed learning environment. Possess empathy, patience, and rapport-building skills with students. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents. Availability to register with Teaching Personnel and commit to a full-time position. Salary and Benefits : The successful candidate will receive a competitive daily rate ranging from £83.85 contingent upon experience and qualifications.
