The Fair Isle Bird Observatory is an independent charity providing hotel accommodation and ornithological studies on the remote Scottish island of Fair Isle.
The Hospitality Manager oversees visitors and accommodation, managing a team of cooks and hospitality assistants. The kitchen provides three meals a day. The post is complemented by a Head of Ornithology who liaises with the HM.
The HM will be resident on the island in self-contained accommodation, suitable for a small family. Benefits include accommodation, food, and utilities.
This is a challenging post requiring initiative, dedication, and autonomy to assist in the development of a world-famous visitor facility. The successful applicant will require a hospitality, business administration, or similar qualification or equivalent experience.
