Context
The Arts and Humanities Research Council is recruiting for a 12-month fixed-term Investment Manager to support the Commercialisation portfolio.
About The Team
The AHRC’s Design, Commercialisation and Innovation (DCI) team is responsible for an exciting portfolio of investment and activities, including the Future Observatory: Design the Green Transition programme, AHRC’s relationship with the Design Council and AHRC’s strategy and investment in commercialisation.
About The Role
As Senior Investment Manager for Commercialisation and Innovation, you will be responsible for driving the AHRC’s activities relating to Commercialisation, including contributing to the development and delivery of cross-UKRI initiatives. You will be required to work collaboratively across AHRC, with UKRI colleagues, and with external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the commercialisation of arts and humanities research through AHRC and UKRI-led initiatives.
* Contribute to and support the development and delivery of an AHRC Commercialisation strategy.
* Work with a pan-UKRI team to develop UKRI initiatives in Commercialisation.
* Provide specialist input and make informed recommendations to senior leaders within AHRC.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.
* Lead, manage and/or support strategic projects/programmes across AHRC and UKRI.
* Support the team head in ensuring appropriate management of staff and allocation of resources.
About You
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for the arts and humanities and a demonstrable understanding of the research funding landscape, particularly in relation to Commercialisation and Innovation.

Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience ‘S’
Knowledge/Experience:
* Knowledge and understanding of the research funding landscape ‘S&I’
* Knowledge and understanding of commercialisation and innovation in the context of the arts and humanities ‘S&I’
* Experience of developing and implementing successful programme management of research or innovation activities ‘S&I’
* Experience of collaborating with a range of stakeholders ‘S&I’
Skills:
* Ability to lead projects and manage colleagues ‘S&I’
* Ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders ‘S&I’
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills ‘S&I’
* Creative problem-solving skills ‘S&I’
