We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee theatre assistant. You will work across all specialities assisting the theatre team to deliver high quality care for our patients. This role is physically demanding and time critical. Full training will be given by our excellent Clinical practice leads (CPLs) with the support of other qualified mentors and existing theatre assistants. Main duties of the job Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesCommunications- Communicate with patients, carers, family and relatives as part of effective patient care.- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team in relation to patients care and needs.- Demonstrate excellent levels of verbal and non-verbal communication skills in an area whichhas significant physical barriers to effective communication.Responsibility for Patient Care- Liaising with staff from multi-disciplines in matters relating to patient care and equipmentrelevant to care.- Maintain accurate and timely patients' records and documentation ensuring confidentiality.- To uphold the Trust's dignity and respect standards - First Impressions.- Ensure that care is appropriate, provided and is consistent with clinical guidelines.- Using professional judgements is able to analyse a range of patient conditions and actappropriately.- Maintaining high standards of patient care by personal example and professional conduct.- Promote the safeguarding of vulnerable patients in line with national and local policy.- Liaising closely with other multi-disciplinary team members involved in care and support of thecritically ill patient and their family, which may include being involved with a majortrauma/death.
