We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful team of daily supply staff for a range of primary schools in the Merton (SW19) area. Responsibilities:
* Assist classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education and support to primary school students.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
* Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
* Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students during school hours.
* Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
* Assist with classroom management and maintaining a tidy and organised learning environment.
* Carry out administrative tasks as required by the classroom teacher or school management.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with primary school children is preferred.
* A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their full potential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
* A patient and empathetic approach to supporting children's learning and development.
* Basic understanding of child safeguarding and welfare.
* Flexibility and reliability to work on short notice.
* Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are an advantage.
