The role
As Head of Site – Operational Delivery you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In this exciting role you will run the Donnington site and the operational activity within it, for our Defence Support Group (DSG) Business. The role will be accountable for the development and ongoing leadership of an effective and cost competitive maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business that delivers the requirements of the British Army.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide strong visible cohesive leadership, governance and oversight across all teams, bringing them together into a single operational management function, and building a strong, positive, high-performance culture.
* Manage a site that consists of c200 personnel, and deliver an operation that consists of a wide range of MRO activity across a variety of Defence Vehicles and Assets
* Be a key stakeholder in the future of the Donnington Site, linked to the Babcock strategy and the requirements of the British Army
* Propose and implement new capabilities into the site to improve delivery of current programmes, and to successfully bring in new business to Donnington.
* Support the wider Babcock business in developing growth opportunities both as account growth and new business.
* Manage the operation to agreed cost, delivery and quality key performance indicators (KPIs), utilising a multifunctional team, with a matrix approach to ensure safe, timely delivery.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Donnington.
Essential experience of the Head of Site – Operational Delivery:
* Leadership of large teams in an operational environment
* A deep understanding of the MRO business model and processes, together with experience in delivering a business objective.
* Strong customer relationship management within multi-stakeholder environments
* Exceptional leadership skills demonstrating collaborative leadership and strong performance, financial and commercial management.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
