As a Warehouse Supervisor, your role is crucial to the success of the branch operation. Leading a team of General Assistants, you will drive exceptional performance and standards. Through your role, you will work to ensure that the branch achieves high performance and operational standards which will ultimately ensure that we deliver our Customer Promise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse operations, resource and customer service within the branch, including line management responsibility for the General Assistant team.
2. Ensuring all areas of the warehouse always conform to Health and Safety legislation.
3. Working to deliver a balanced performance across key business metrics and KPI measures in line with business goals and objectives.
4. Ensuring the branch is fully compliant in line with the branch standards to maintain a balanced performance.
5. Leading, coaching and developing teams to create the skills and capabilities needed both now and in the future.
6. Holding regular colleague reviews to strengthen colleague engagement and support development.
7. Working with the Operations Manager to create a robust succession plan throughout the branch.
8. Ensuring branch recruitment is right the first time, attracting future talent to the organisation.
9. Delivering a structured daily briefing to ensure all colleagues understand key objectives and measures.
10. Average of 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm, and alternate Saturdays between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
Skills and Experience
1. Great communication skills demonstrating the ability to develop customer and colleague relationships.
2. Leading a warehouse operations team with a customer-first attitude.
3. Knowledge of recruitment processes.
4. Knowledge and understanding of P&L’s, and the booking of in and out stock.
5. Strong ability to highlight and resolve Health and Safety concerns.
6. Ability to review, challenge and develop colleagues in order to achieve their best and help them develop.
