About the role
Join our team as an Information Governance Officer and support our council and Data Protection Officer in ensuring compliance with GDPR and other privacy legislations. You’ll develop and maintain our Information Governance Framework, oversee the disclosure process for Subject Access Requests (SARs), and act as the investigating officer for data protection breaches. Your role will include conducting risk assessments and managing information governance risks, as well as providing expert advice on data protection and records management.
You’ll also lead reviews of data governance processes for high-risk projects and deliver essential training on data protection. Your efforts will ensure our data protection measures are robust, safeguarding our information.
What we need from you
To be successful, you need experience with GDPR compliance projects and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). A strong understanding of data protection principles and practices is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Your organisational skills and customer-focused approach will help build strong working relationships.
