Salary: Up to £ 50,000 (depending on skills and experience) What you’ll be doing: Lead requirements elicitation, process definition and configuration of the Product Lifecycle Management capability Lead and coordinate testing and acceptance of the Product Lifecycle Management capability Lead the implementation, including education, of the Product Lifecycle Management capability Provide ongoing support to ensure the success utilisation of the PLM approach Implement the appropriate business rules and controls for each phase of the product lifecycle and ensure required level of reporting is delivered for PLM stakeholders Execution of data management for the project through life, interfacing with stakeholders including the IM&T function Assist in delivery of an approach to the through life digital thread, including co-ordination of the process across the various stakeholders and toolsets (e.g. CAD to PDM to ERP) Accountable (with the rest of the PLM Team) for the delivery, support and ongoing co-ordination of a product variation management solution (ship applicability and variant management) across applicable enterprise toolsets Be the primary customer liaison customer liaison with key stakeholders specifically to ensure that the business complies with the relevant audit requirements and can generate the required reports and statistics Major contributor to the strategic view of PLM, specifically to determine an evolution path (e.g. identifying and incorporating IT developments from elsewhere); potential need for/ benefit of future upgrades; and identification and delivery of PLM solutions to emergent requirements from business Your skills and experiences: Essential: Proven PLM experience in a highly complex product design/ build engineering environment with CAD (Foran) and PDM (Windchill) experience in the Piping Information & Systems discipline Proven ability to develop and sustain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders for successful realisation of PLM objectives Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, including senior management, technical and IM&T Proven ability to develop relationships to ensure successful agreement and implementation of stakeholder requirements Strong communication skills when briefing individuals and groups at all levels of the organisation Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline. The Team: Implement and facilitate the through life Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, policy and supporting toolset. Lead the development of and the deployment and adherence to the PLM processes & controls in each lifecycle phase and enable measurement of the PLM system. Take the lead in areas to develop and implement PLM related: processes; policies; requirements; enabling technology; and support the management of product information for the Naval Ships business. This will include leading the audit & preparation of PLM related information and developing PLM reporting solutions. This will include establishing strong configuration control processes, the audit & preparation of product information (including generating Product baselines) and developing product reporting solutions, including technical dashboards. This role is important to the successful operation of the PLM Capability Centre (PLMCC) and will have knowledge of methodologies and technology for the successful implementation and use of PLM to projects to time, cost and quality across Naval Ships and wider GCS Programmes.
