About the Role
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Vice President of Portfolio Management and Director of Corporate Development and other stakeholders of the team. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, ability to work with confidential information, and the initiative to work in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
This position reports to the VP Portfolio Management located in Cambridge, UK and will be remote. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
Main Duties
* Manage extremely active schedules utilizing Outlook, preparing for meetings, coordinate in-house and off-site meetings for small and large groups (including agenda, accommodations, transportation, catering), and secure travel arrangements (hotel, airfare, etc.)
* Monitor and manage key deliverables (e.g., expense reports, purchase orders, budget reconciliation, etc.), establish, manage and adhere to action plans with Executives to meet deadlines
Qualifications
* 3+ years previous experience in administrative support for executive roles
* Multiple years of experience managing confidential information with discretion
* Excellent computer skills: Outlook (e-mail and calendar management), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
