Electronic Systems Engineer
Initial 12 Month Contract - Extensions Likely

This role is for the primary technical support for the Engine Electronic system. It will entail the complete product development lifecycle from development prior to production through to post-production maintenance.
Your duties will include:
1. Participate in the definition of the system architecture and related diagrams and schematics.
2. Participate in the selection of suitable Electronic components.
3. Participate in the failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and validation activities for the Electronic system and components, maintaining and improving validation test plans.
4. Provide technical support to queries related to pinouts, schematic questions, and software functionality support.
5. Investigate, analyse, and troubleshoot any reported quality issues.
What we're looking for?
1. Degree-qualified engineer - Alternatively, a suitably aligned HNC/NVQ level 4 with additional relevant experience.
2. Experience in the broad range of systems engineering activities involved in the development of Electronic Engine, machine, or automotive control systems.
3. Demonstrated experience of:
1. Integration activities of the system for both fault finding and for Electronic system design, including PWM, analogue, and communications signals.
2. Actively collecting and developing detailed Electronic-related customer requirements, resulting in Electronic technical specifications.
3. Defining Electronic features and coordinating their development by other teams.
4. Performing system verification testing of components and software features.
5. Participation in FMEA development.
4. Understanding of internal combustion engines and how they are controlled.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of engine systems associated with the electronic system (e.g., Fuel and Air system).
2. Requirements management (DOORS, Teamcenter, etc.).
3. Controller Area Networks (CAN), Vector CANape, and CANalyzer tool experience.
4. Proficient in oscilloscope use in development.
5. Product structuring and configuration tools (e.g., Siemens Teamcentre Engineering, Creo).
6. PPAP or FMEA facilitator and design validation planning experience.
