As a Health Care Assistant in our Interventional Radiology Department, you will play a vital role in assisting radiologists, radiographers, and radiology nurses to provide exceptional care to patients attending the department for interventional procedures.
You will conduct routine health related activities and complete personal care and activities of daily living, ensuring patient-led care within the Radiology Day Case Unit.
You will record patient information and provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the Radiology Day Case Unit, including delegated tasks such as taking and recording physiological observations, recording blood glucose, ECG monitoring venepuncture and cannulation.
You will undertake housekeeping responsibilities for the Interventional Radiology Department, ensuring that the rooms are stocked appropriately.
You will act as a patient transport facilitator, ensuring that patients are safely transported to and from the Interventional Radiology Department.

· Establish and maintain communication with patients, relatives and carers and the multidisciplinary team to be able to provide holistic patient care.

· Assist in interventional radiology procedures under supervison of the radiology nurse.
