Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Up to £45,000

A market leading multi disciplined construction business that provides a diverse range of services across six key divisions; Construction, Commercial Interiors, Small Works, Building Services, Maintenance and Insurance are offering an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager.
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will have a critical role and the responsibility of the strategic guidance, development, and design of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures, policies, and compliances.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ accreditations including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 across the company.
2. Engage across all sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
3. Provide support to varied project teams on all HS&E issues.
4. Review risk assessments and method statements, addressing any health and safety related queries.
5. Perform audits and site inspections, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on findings.
6. Conduct training, toolbox talks, inductions, and investigate incidents and accidents as required.
7. Conduct assessments on new processes and practices.
8. Advise on fire regulations, noise, and occupational health.
9. Play an integral role in developing and delivering training programs.
10. Liaise with external bodies regarding health, safety, and environmental issues.
11. Develop briefing and communication strategies to ensure the Health and Safety plan is understood and followed by all employees and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
1. NEBOSH Diploma Qualification and other relevant H&S qualifications.
2. Knowledge of CDM regulations and a strong understanding of the construction process, project management, and industry regulations.
3. Proven experience health and safety management within the construction industry.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
5. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
6. Commercial awareness and understanding of the Construction process.
7. Proficiency in IT packages.
