We’re recruiting on behalf of a client in the Bradford area who is establishing a dedicated buying function for the first time. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company in a brand-new role, sitting within their commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement purchasing systems and processes tailored to the needs of the business.
* Manage and streamline procurement activities to ensure cost-effective and efficient purchasing.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
* Collaborate with the commercial and production teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
* Provide insightful reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
About You:
* Proven experience as a Buyer in the food manufacturing industry is essential.
* A proactive, self-starter with the ability to set up systems and processes from scratch.
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms with suppliers.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering results.
What’s on Offer:
Competitive salary of approximately £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Monday to Friday schedule, fully based on-site.
