Job Title: Planning, Monitoring and Control Manager
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: From £80,000 plus, dependent on skills and experience with an executive car allowance and bonus on top.
What you'll be doing:
1. Lead the cost management strategy and integration across all major submarine programmes.
2. Support process improvements in cost forecasting, governance, and assurance.
3. Ensure integration with adjacent Disciplines and Business Functions, such as risk management and scheduling and estimating, to maintain an integrated project controls system.
4. Oversee system configuration, whilst creating reports and dashboards to present cost positions to senior stakeholders.
5. Manage a team of professionals and liaise with programme cost managers.
Your skills and experiences:
1. You will need to have good cost management expertise with a strong understanding of governance, cost estimating, value management and cost control.
2. Programme Management knowledge and extensive experience in managing complex projects, including a strong grasp of project management and integrated project controls.
3. Proven data analysis and visualisation experience.
4. Experience within People management and Leadership.
5. Governance and Assurance experience with a comprehensive knowledge of governance and assurance processes within Planning, Monitoring, and Controls.

The Project Management and Controls team:
This opportunity will give you a great chance to lead on cost management within the project management function whilst ensuring successful delivery of complex submarine programmes. This role involves setting functional strategies, managing processes and tools, and ensuring governance and assurance in cost control. You will engage with senior stakeholders, oversee system configurations, and lead a team in driving process improvements across forecasting, governance, and reporting.
