Job Description
1. Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities, updated on activities, promotions and happenings in the hotel/city and be able to provide accurate information to guests.
2. Act as an ambassador of the hotel and provide assistance to a variety of requests. Expected to make what seem to be impossible and unusual happen.
3. Maintain a network of service providers for the efficient conduct in coordinating guest requirements.
4. Ensure availability of printed materials such as brochures of local attractions, sister hotels, restaurants, city maps, etc. which may be handed over to guests.
5. Manage the facilitation of guest requests relating to dining activities (both inside and outside of hotel), shows, recreation, tours, transport, florists, doctor, dentist, child care and any other services which are not available at the hotel.
6. Respond to queries positively.
7. Develop guest preference records and guest history.
8. Follow through all endorsements at the concierge and ensure completion.
9. Ensure that all luggage, messages, parcels, etc. are handled, delivered, retrieved or stored efficiently.
10. Be transparent and responsible on matters involving finances.
11. Maintain absolute integrity and trustworthiness in the team.
12. Promote and follow a safe work environment.
13. Promote and lead a service-driven, results-driven work environment.
14. Follow departmental SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) including all safety policies.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Exceptional customer service skills
2. Strong problem-solving abilities
3. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
4. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
Additional Information
1. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
2. Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or a luxury service environment.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
6. Knowledge of the local area and its attractions is a plus.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems.
