About the Role
This role is for an experienced, committed and inspiring teacher to deliver whole class music curriculum lessons to primary aged pupils in school years 1 6 in Trafford Schools on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons during term time. The ability to teach other whole class instrumental projects, or small group instrumental lessons in addition to music curriculum would be an advantage.
It is essential for this role to be an experienced teacher in delivering whole class primary music curriculum and must demonstrate strong classroom management skills. The role requires adaptive classroom teaching to support all learners and confidence to liaise and communicate with school staff and music service managers.
The successful candidate will be supported with resources and shadowing opportunities of other Trafford Music Service staff and will join a fabulous, dedicated, and inspirational team who will support you and your professional development.

You will have excellent organisational and ICT skills and an ability to work efficiently to deadlines. We currently teach in primary and secondary schools across the authority as well as providing an after-school music provision at our Music Centre based in Sale.

Pay and Working Hours
This post is casual on Teachers’ Pay and Conditions on the Unqualified Teacher pay scale 3-6.
The working days for this post are Tuesday afternoons 12.45-3.30pm and Thursday afternoons 1.00-3.15pm (5 hours).
The working hours for this post are term time only. Candidates should be sure they can commit to teaching during term time before applying. We are committed to providing continuity for our pupils and the highest level of instrumental tutoring. Tutors are employed on Teachers’ pay and conditions and therefore have the school holidays off and all tutors are expected to fully commit to all term dates.
